Villa Gardenia is a classic Mediterranean house with gorgeous views across the Cyprus countryside and down to the sea. It's also within walking distance from the busy village of Pegeia which has great beaches, dramatic rock formations in the sea, and lots of restaurants and shops.

The house is on a quiet avenue lined with cypress trees and other detached stone villas. All the rooms at the villa are on one level. They're airy and light with white walls, terracotta-tiled floors and traditional country furniture. There's an open-plan lounge and dining room with comfortable sofas and a dining table and chairs.

There's satellite tv, a dvd/cd stereo and a playstation 2. The kitchen area is a modern take on a farmhouse design with wooden cupboards, and appliances including a dishwasher, a washer and a microwave.

Both bedrooms have luxurious sparkling white en-suite bathrooms and air-conditioning. They have lovely wooden furniture - especially the double room which has a four-poster country bed. This room also has double doors opening out onto the pool-terrace.

The pool-garden is a lovely sunny space with a great pool, sun-terraces, and a stone barbecue. There are deep beds planted with cypress trees and lots of flowers and shrubs. There are also two lovely shady covered terraces - one with a sofa and a dining table and chairs, and one with a fabulous hydrotherapy hot tub. A spiral staircase winds up to a terrace on the roof of the hosue which has open views over fields and villages down to the sea at Coral Bay.

Villa Gardenia is a beautiful house full of relaxing spaces. It's in a really sought-after place with great views. And it's close to lots of interesting villages and parts of the coast. Pegeia, a 25-minute walk from the house, is a pretty town in lovely countryside which is also close to sandy beaches.

You can also try lots of holiday sports there - cycling, tennis, horse riding and even go-carting. And you can drive to the centre of Coral Bay in a couple of minutes, to the beach, restaurants, cafés, shops and clubs - or walk down the hill in 30 minutes.
